Farokh Rokhbakhsh-Zamin’s career in Microbiology spans research, teaching, regulatory, and administrative appointments in IAUK, Iran. He earned his BSc and Msc in Microbiology at IAU, Iran (1994) and PhD in Microbial Biotechnology at University of Pune, India (2010).
Prior to be as the Dean of Science on 2015, he served as the Head of the Department of Microbiology for post graduate students (2012-2015), Head of the Department of Medical Engineering (2010-2012), and Director of the University Academic Supervision Centre (2002-2005 & 2010-2014), after serving as a full time Faculty member at IAU, Kerman Branch, Iran.
His research has focused on different strategies about environmental Microbial Biotechnology such as constructing and using Biofertilizers, Biocontrol and Bioleaching agents as well as Bioremediators to slow hazardous of non ecofriend artificials. He has worked extensively on PGPR across Iran and India.
Farokh Rokhbakhsh-Zamin served as a main Board member of the Iranian Society of Microbiology (ISM) from 2001-2005.
